About us...

100% Locally-owned. 100% Vietnamese.

Opened in 2005 under the name Phượng Hoàng (meaning "phoenix") Vietnamese Restaurant , the restaurant was owned by an elderly Vietnamese couple. After serving Columbus locals for 3 years, business was transferred over to their friend, who renamed it as Hương Vietnamese Restaurant, LLC (Hương is her first name, meaning "fragrant"). Together, Hương and her family took over the business and added many new additions to the menu, as well as traditional specials on the weekend that are found nowhere else in Columbus.

Established in October 2008, Hương is one of a few locally-owned, 100% Vietnamese restaurants in Central Ohio. We strive to provide affordable, tasty, and authentic Vietnamese cuisine based on the philosophy that value and honest delicious food should not cost an arm and two legs. Our family lives by the concept of "cơm bình dân" that we were brought up within Vietnamese culture, which translates to affordable meal for the everyday people. Offering a casual family-friendly dining experience, with a décor of plants, a beach mural, and café-style oldies music, your visit to Hương will be enjoyable whether you are enjoying "me-time", with a special someone, with friends, or with family.

If you are new to Vietnamese cuisine, bear in mind that it is a hands-on experience, from phở noodle soup to the phin-style coffee to the lettuce wrap-style crêpe. To maximize your dining experience, we ask that you come with an open heart and an empty stomach (from the words of Alton Brown on "Iron Chef America"). Don't be afraid to try new things! We are glad to answer the questions that you may have. Come visit us, you're certainly in for a treat!
